Running the Linux Bash Shell in Windows 10 ... 2016 Style!
You're not mis-reading the title of this post. Microsoft is really bringing the native Linux Bash shell environment to an upcoming build of Windows 10! In the past, one would need to either install a VM or run Cygwin (which was my preferred method of choice) to have access to one's favorite 'NIX tools. This is a huge new feature for developers or Linux admins looking to get commandline work done using familiar tools from the Linux universe. I for one am very happy Microsoft is partnering with Canonical to make this happen.
