Apple AirPods

I’m jumping to the Apple AirPods. The integration with Apple devices is supposed to be really good and it should be, so we’ll see if that’s true or not. I was worried about them falling out of my ears but then I found some accessories that can help them stay in the ear like hooks, wings, etc ... Will update if they work or not. 

Retro Gaming from Nintendo




Nintendo was once the king of the gaming console market. I was feeling a bit nostalgic and picked up a Super NES Classic console and it rocks! The unit comes with 20 games built in and 2 game controllers. If retro gaming is of interest, check it out.

Ubuntu on a Thinkpad X1 Tablet

Linux is known for its ability to run on just about any hardware so I’ve installed it on a tablet. The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 is a premium piece of kit that runs Windows 10 out of the box but like most other Thinkpad, it has pretty good Linux support as well. Coupled with the optional keyboard, this setup is proving to be a nice portable computer that has enough power to handle my basic day to day tasks. My unit has an Intel m7 processor, 8 gb of RAM and 256 gb of SSD storage. I’m running the latest Ubuntu 18.04 with the lightweight i3 window manager. Very nice ...
